Common Tern at Lydney boating lake

Once every year do the Common Tern pay us a visit, it lasts for 2 weeks. Fortunately it was that time, and fish is what they want. This fellow had eaten too much, probably bigger that its stomach.

You know how it feels, all senses are numbed, and if you wanted to move, but it will fly away. And it didn't, there was about two or three minutes, and then came two people and it flew away. I can't blame them, they were around when I got my buggy stuck, and gave me a shove.

Oh spring, it has sprung itself, again.

It looks like spring, it feels like spring and we are into Spring.

The Green-veined White is an attractive butterfly, it is double-brooded, seen in the spring and again in mid-summer.
