Great photos! Hundreds of these birds nest on our nearby boat beach.
That black head looks more chocolate coloured to me - but what a beauty. Thanks Bob.
Thank you, Bob. I've never seen one before!
In breeding plumage it is a stunning bird, but I think we need a parliamentary committee to investigate why it should not be renamed Brown-headed Gull!
Es preciosa. De todas las gaviotas está es la que más me gusta. Besos.
Looks a great specimen and well captured.

Thank you very much Jesús.
What a handsome gull! There are so many different ones and this is yet another I have never seen.
Excellent collection Bob. The first and the last are very good.
I'm with David on this one, Bob. This very handsome bird (when in summer plumage) should be re-named Brown-headed - or maybe named 'smudge' when in winter plumage! ;-} Please don't be too tempted by Boris's invitation to get out more - we need to stay safe! Take great care - - - Richard
Yes, I agree with you, it should be BROWN. And, I don't belief anything Bojo said. Stay Safe Richard.
