Your female Ruddy Darter is in fact a female Common Darter .Main ID , apart from shape , Ruddy Darter has completely black legs , whereas the Common has the outside of the legs striped with yellow .
Grand shots of the Hornet. You should have picked it up and turned it round. They only sting a bit.
