Goldfinch (Naas Lane, Lydney)

These were quite taken when it was a bit gloomy, but, I put in the blog. I have been indoors for 3 weeks, bad weather, and I had no other choice. I hope you like them.

Well, it flies like a bird.

Nuthatch (Forest of Dean - HOOF)

This was not taken today, why, because it rained, again, again, again, again, again..............................

There was a lot of food for the Nuthatches and other types of small birds.

Blue Tit (Forest of Dean - HOOF)

It became a little lighter this afternoon for about 2 hours, so I thought of going out. The birds were exited that someone had bothered to feed them. But, I had about to photograph them. A lovably little Blue Tit did herself proud.

Northern Hawk Owl

This one is the nice to look at. Those who live in the USA will recognise it immediately.

This species has an extremely large range, and hence does not approach the thresholds for Vulnerable under the range size criterion (Extent of Occurrence <20,000 km2 combined with a declining or fluctuating range size, habitat extent/quality, or population size and a small number of locations or severe fragmentation). The population trend appears to be fluctuating, and hence the species does not approach the thresholds for Vulnerable under the population trend criterion (>30% decline over ten years or three generations). The population size is very large, and hence does not approach the thresholds for Vulnerable under the population size criterion (<10,000 mature individuals with a continuing decline estimated to be >10% in ten years or three generations, or with a specified population structure). For these reasons the species is evaluated as Least Concern.

White-headed Duck at Slimbrdge WWT

I looked out on dismal day, I'm not going out to take some photos-maybe it be better that this morning, but, I was wrong. If you look at the weather report, it doesn't look very nice, in fact, it hasn't been very nice since the begin of December. But, I'm not too bad, compared to others that have the worst of it. It is A CLIMATE CHANGE.
