Growing pains

It was still raining, but not as much. I was under a tree waiting for the rain to stop, when I saw this mushroom, growing on top of waste soil. It seems to be happy.

Lightning and thunder came in the afternoon, which was after wet and dismal morning. As you can think, it's just one from the past!

It was raining, but I caught this in a short spell. The rain, oh the rain. It never stopped. Every thing I took was a washout!!!!!!

House Sparrow (Cannop Ponds)

I think that is the House Sparrow, but I am confused. Wrong coloured beak, and head. Maybe it is young?
