Speckled Wood butterfly (New Fancy View)

I stopped for an hour at New Fancy, just to see what had been happened. It was left to itself. There was the lone feeder hanging from the tree, and that was empty too. There were a small amount of people, but nothing compared to February or March. It will be reopened in October.

The Marshes at Lydney

The Green-veined White butterfly is the most enjoyable that you can see.
And the Little Egret, a bit too far away to photograph. There were 3 of them.

Mallard Duck (female) (Cannop Ponds)

Here is the other half, not in order. The female of the species. Its a piece of cake to catch them in any mode, so that's what I was doing.

Lesser House-fly (Lydney)

I think it is, therefore it is. Or maybe it's something else. It is a Fly. I'm sure that I am right!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I give up.

Juvenile Black-headed Gull (Lydney boating lake)

It was a murky day, nothing worth waiting for, exept the young Black-headed Gull. Still, I can certainly get on with my magazine, which we (ie: Brian Thomas and me), do produce for the disabled and elderly in the Forest of Dean.
