On the Herefordshire border is an angling hangout, and there was plenty of birdlife as well. But it was too wet to take any pictures, except this, a bright spell, I managed to take this one, it’s a sculpture of Cormorants, made in metal.
It has been a wet and windy day, last night the wind got up to 75 kmh. And, we weren't the worse. I couldn't get much birding done, so I went into my archives to find the Smew.

The beautiful Kestrel. This one stopped and showed me what she can do, diving for worms and voles. She waited for about 45 minutes and then started to fly off again.

The Herring Gull lives on roof tops, by the sea, factories and dockyards. They rarely settle in towns. They are always diving after scraps, of fish that have been thrown away.
