Green Hairstreak butterfly (Foxes Bridge)
The Green Hairstreak has been one of my first of all time. It was beautiful. I only counted two, but I think that was a misjudgement, as there was a large space. Tuesday 2 June 2009
Golden-ringed Dragonfly (Nagshead)
A beautiful sight, the Golden-ringed Dragonfly. I sat there and took photographs, for about 5 minutes, and then it flew away and I couldn't see it again. Monday 1 June 2009

Fallow Deer (Boys Grave)
There were 8 of them grazing on the grass. How beautiful are the Fallow Deer. In the evening we set off, Tim Fetter and me, looking for a late night for a change. We saw 2 Redstarts, Tree Pipit, about 4 Woodcocks, 4 Tawny Owl juveniles, Nightjars and Bats.
