Lesser Black-backed Gull. Photographed in Lydney

You can find this nearly everywhere, on roofs, ponds (with something to eat and of course got to be large), playing grounds and refuse tips. It has recently taken to those places, it normally lives on the Welsh islands and it would leave for the winter. It is not as unpleasant as the Great Black-backed Gull.

Small Tortoiseshell butterfly was taken in Lydney


It was a beautiful day, a bit of a stiff breeze, but who cares. The Small Tortoiseshell was woken up with the warm day.

Mandarin Ducks head.

I didn’t do too much birding today; instead I spent 5 hours in Gloucester looking at Camera rucksacks. No good there. So I wasted my day, but I made a turn towards Cannop Ponds and snapped this Mandarin Duck.

Blue Tit at Cannop Ponds

A nice shot of the Blue Tit about to fly away. That is a piece of peanut being crushed up, that's better for them than whole one.

I saw this one in among the trees in my garden. It seems quite unusual to see one here, its a sight for your eyes.
