Coal Tit, photographed at the feeders at Cannop Ponds


The Coal Tit lives in the trees, mostly coniferous. It eats insects and seeds. In the winter it is commonly seen in gardens, when it takes away seeds from the feeders and will go and hide it.

Long-tailed Tit


Long-tailed Tits are gently noisy. They move from tree to tree looking for food, insects, lichen and green algae. They are sociable, and huddle up when they are cold and to fall sleep.
