Common Crossbill female - Loxia curvirostra

Photographed at Church Lane, Parkend, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, GB.

They weren't very good, it was a dark place. But, I had too show them, only twice that I photographed them.

  26. Bob - wonderful pictures. We have many crossbills here in Montana, but I don't get a close-up like this when I am looking at them in my yard. I love the yellow coloring on the head … Happy New Year to you!
