The government has come out with this statement, that we should take down our SAVE OUR FORESTS from the trees and places, why. In my opinion, now is the beginning of our fight, so put up more.
Save Our Forests has 531301 people who have signed the petition. And for all of you who do not live in Britain and have a passionate desire to help, well, here it is: The Woodland Trust
The tip of the head is wonderful! Sweet bird!

Beautiful Bob. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Bob of the female Chaffinch. We do seem to have a few extra in the garden this year and we also have the Brambling that visits us daily.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that people power has won the day and that they have backed down Bob... Hurrah!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteDid they just order you to remove the signs, or did they give you a reason? It would make me want to double them!! Your chaffinch is so sweet. Looks similar to our goldfinch in winter plummage.
ReplyDeleteMe too is wondering what are the reasons given for the removal ...
ReplyDeleteBob, I hear on the news that Cameron is about to back down.....There is a statement due Friday.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bird is the Chaffinch.
Lovely little bird, nice colors and good sharp....well done Bob.
