Juvenile Mute Swan (Lydney Boating Lake)

  18. The other day I saw five juvenile swans in a straight line behind their mother, coming down the little river. It was an extraordinary sight, and very striking, becuase it's a narrow little river, shallow and calm, with very clear water and lots of weed growing in it, and the water is so clear that the birds looked as if they were floating above a green landscape. I really wished I'd had my camera.
