Lovely girl ! I like very much you first photo, with the berries, very very beautiful. in France we call this bird Grive Litorne. I love his colours. I wish you an Happy an healthy new year Bob, for you and your family. Cheers
Bob....Your top image is my kind of perfection in wildlife photography, a bird in it's natural habitat , not looking like it's in a glass case in a museum....EXCELLENT.
I'm enjoying the Fieldfare photos, I'm always struck with how much they resemble the North American Robins in demeanor. The grey head and fancy brown-edged chest feathers are lovely. Then today I saw a Robin in the yard, I thought they had all flown away for the winter.
I have tried and tried to comment here today. Fingers/toes/eyes crossed that this time I succeed. I love him/her in hiding, I love him/her posing in the open - but the intent expression in the last photo has won my heart.
Congrats, Bob! I have tried to approach this one several times but to no avail :( LOL!! Gorgeous photos and magnificent bird! I wish you a great new year and many-many great photo opportunities :) Keep well, hugs from France
