  7. Owls are possibly one of my favourite birds. We have moreporks (a relative, I believe) in New Zealand. Have you see them before, Bob? Or is that a silly question for the Bird Man!

  9. Super images, Bob, of this beautiful owl. I guess that we're looking at a youngster here, but I'm not sure about it being a White-faced Owl (Ptilopsis) - I'd have expected the eyes to be bright orange. I'm wondering if it's a young Otus sagittatus (White-fronted Scops).

  19. I saw my first Scops Owl in Madagascar about three weeks ago and hadn't realised they were relatively small. It's interesting to see this bird and see a different species therefore, so will be interested to know what the final identity decision is!
