Little Owl (Athene noctua)

I was driving along the old track in Lydney, when I happened to this Owl, sitting still on an old barn. Lovely Little Owl.

  25. Great shots of this Little Owl. Never sure I should have favourite birds but owls are probably are my favourites. Love the music link too. We made at least three Clarsach's for Derek Bell of the Chieftains and sometimes he would pop into the workshop and give us all an impromptu little concert always embellished with his many colourful stories - and language ;).

    2. No problem Bob - this is a link to an old broadcast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANprDgQbjtQ . Early on in the piece you see Derek playing the first harp we ever made him. A few years later a well known air-company trashed it with a forklift truck! I was told it ended up displayed in a glass case in Paddy Maloney's own bar.
