We had one of these at Summer Leys, I'm not sure what species of whistling duck it was, i was told it was an Australian Whistling Duck, what i thought was funny it's call was very similar to that of an Oystercatcher, so every time the Oystercatchers called the duck went over expecting a "mate" only to be chased off.
Lieber Bob, ich bin immer wieder überrascht, was du uns alles zeigst. Vögel, die ich bislang nicht kannte. Tolle Fotos. Einen schönen Abend wünscht dir Irmi
Hello Bob! Good to slow down a bit and get back into bloging! That is lovely duck, I agree! Your photos are exquisite! Is it a youngster? Unlike me, you seem to have access to many species of ducks! ;-) Keep well, I'll have a look at your previous posts!
