There I was, happily going about things, when I noticed a Swallow standing on a cars aerial. Out comes my kit, ie. photographers, took a snap. I thought that they had left, but, it was still a breath of summer left. They should have been in Africa by now. But, no.
A wonderful capture Bob... well worth sending into Bird Watching magazine I am so sure they will publish it. We still have Swallows flying through Cheshire and a guy I work with has a nest of chicks still in his garage... I hope they fledge and leave quite soon.
Nice shot with a lovely background. Still quite a number of Swallows and Martins in Lancashire. Saw three harassing one of my local Barn Owls at 5:30 today! Sadly too far for a shot.
Hi Bob! Sure have missed everyone. Your Swallow is Gorgeous! I got to see some on our adventure, but will share later. Love you new banner, looks great! Have a safe and nice weekend~

Hi Bob! Great to see you still have swallows around! Maybe it means the winter will not be too harsh?! They are still here, in the south of France and should be gathering soon for their long trip! Keep well, cheers!

ReplyDeleteFirst time I've seen the word "aerial" used for antenna. But the dictionary confirms that as a proper use. Learned somethin' knew today.
