  8. I am reminded of our mallard that built a nest in my lilies and soon lost every single egg...probably from our raccoons, although we do have visits from fox now and again!

    These are delightful portraits of this female Mallard - a species which is often overlooked because of its familiarity. They deserve better - and you did it!
