  23. When we lived on the lake we used to see huge flocks of Dunlin swooping up and down all at once as if they were one huge organism. But always too far away to see the individual birds, even with binoculars. So it was lovely to see your pictures, I have never been sure how to identify them ... shorebirds are hard!
