I bought the soundtrack album of Easy Rider when the film came out, and enjoyed it until it was stolen in a burglary shortly afterwards. I bought a replacement copy but, to my disappointment, it was different. The original had the sounds of the chopper bikes, and also the sound of the crash at the end. Apparently, the film company objected and insisted that these sounds be removed. I suspect that the original version is worth quite a bit now. I still have all my old vinyl albums from the 1960s.
