Common Sandpiper?????

I don't know whether this is Common or Wood Sandpiper, because the woody has been here a lot recently. Somebody will tell me!

Please look at my website bobswildlife.co.uk. There is a photo of a Jay and  the Gadwall by Callum in the 'Guest photographer'

  4. Great shots, Bob. Unless it's something REALLY exotic, I reckon it's a Common Sandpiper. The clue is the white bit that shows on the body in front of the wing.

With my best wishes - - Richard

    2. In North America "woody" is a euphemism for something else entirely, and that was what I was, tongue firmly in cheek, referring to.......
