Tufted Duck duckling - (Aythya fuligula)

Photographed at South Lake Hide, Slimbridge WWT, Gloucestershire.
I am sorry for this, it was taken in full sunlight, bad light from this hide, as usual.

Please look at my website bobswildlife.co.uk. There is a photo of a Nene (Hawaiian Goose),  and  the Emerald Dove by Callum in the 'Guest photographer'

  15. Hi Bob! Sorry I have not visited for a while - been on holiday in The New Forest.

Ducklings are so cute that I'd swear that they generate their own light. It was great to come back to this post - you put a smile on my face!

    Best wishes - - - Richard

  18. Your photos did not show you had bad sunlight.
This little duckling is beautiful to see and photographed very sharply.
    Good job!

  19. Impressed with both your photo skills (as always) and your knowledge .. unless it was swimming right behind its mother, I can't imagine how you'd know which baby duckling it was.
