Waiting for mum
I can't find her anywhere, not up there?
Ah, here she comes with her goodies, yummy.
Really stunning, and the fine details on the wings is amazing. Great shots as always. Greetings!
ReplyDeleteLots of juvenile starlings around here just now.
ReplyDeleteYes, and there are around here too David.
DeleteThe neck feathers are something I've noticed on adult starlings as well. I haven't seen one in a long time. This kind of bird is a good old familiar sight.
ReplyDeleteHello, cute shots of the Starling chick. I think the last shot it is saying "feed me". Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteHow precious! I am constantly astonished by your breathtaking photos, showing me a side of nature I normally don't see. Thank you, Bob.
ReplyDeleteStill got one tiny tuft of nestling feathers left!
ReplyDeleteWatching the young in my garden and near lagoon, Bob. Nice treatment of the topic
ReplyDeleteHola Bob,magnifica y bella fotos de este joven Estornino.Un abrazo.
ReplyDeleteHello Bob!:) Nicely captured images of this chocolate coloured Starling chick.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments Sonja.
DeleteAwesome photo series!
ReplyDeleteLove that final shot. Poor mum. She was late....
ReplyDeleteHello Bob,
ReplyDeleteAs always great photos!! The Starlings are smart, beautiful and the Starling-chick especially hungry;-)
Have a nice weekend.
Greetings, Maria
Excellent shots :)
ReplyDeleteA few days ago we saw a small baby of some type land next to one of our robins--- and do the feed me feed me thing. It clearly wasn't a Robin. The little guys do get confused sometimes. Nice pictures as always, Bob.
ReplyDeleteBob, beautiful images of the Fledgling Starling!
ReplyDeletecute bird
ReplyDeleteLove the last shot - MORE, MORE
ReplyDeleteHe is not patient, because in the last photo he's screaming at his mom. Regards.
ReplyDeleteHow was your hip operation?
DeleteNice hearing some interesting "notes" from a little one.
ReplyDeleteJuvenile Starlings are very cute at first, Bob, but when we get 10 to 20 of them all day they drive me nuts after a month or two with the racket they make and their disturbance of the other birds. We always end up saying we'll be glad when winter comes and they all go off to murmurate somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteWith my best wishes - - - Richard
Wow so beautiful captured. I love this bird.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
Los estorninos que en algunas ciudades se han convertido casi en una plaga cuando acuden a dormir a parques y jardines.
