Hi Bob, super images of the Jackdaw, you have caught the eye and sheen on the feathers perfectly. You were lucky to catch some sun, something we have been very lacking in around here. All the best, Regards John
Greetings, Bob. I came across pictures of a canvasback and thought of you. Looks like you found another great image. I love them, ecpecially the one asleep. BTW, February, 10 is Boris Pasternak’s birthday. Ever read him? Try his poems, you may be inspired. Have a great weekend! Irina
Hello Bob, Beautiful pictures of the chewing, the black color is super, they shine quite nice. Very well done, my compliments. I wish you a very nice weekend Best regrads, Irma
You captured the shine on those feathers beautifully, Bob. I'd be a lot happier about Jackdaws if they weren't such a problem for Little Owls. They steal their nests and incarcerate female Little Owls which are sitting on eggs, by building a nest of sticks on top of them so they starve to death.
The chewing is not a welcome bird in the Netherlands. There are too many and they disturb the natural course of the smaller birds. However, your photos are beautiful to see.
Beautiful!!☺
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Crissi
