Redwing (Turdus iliacus)

The Redwing,  I love it. The red under it's wing is unmmistakable. Photographed at Rising Sun Inn, Moseley Green, Forest of Dean.

Write and tell me if you  see  any Bohemian Waxwings, we have a new section. Please look at my website bobswildlife.co.uk. There is a photo of a Nuthatch, and a photo of  the Short-eared Owl in the 'Guest Photos '. I have started a new sightings page, please feel free to add your sightings.

  31. I really love this series – a redwing and berries, which reminds me of a Japanese nursery song:

The red birds, pretty little birds
Why, oh, why are they red?
    Because they ate red berries
