Domesticated breed of the wild Rock Dove [White Doves]

Are they getting married, or they are in love? No need to answer that. I was down town, Lydney boating pond, when two beautiful doves came to rest for a while, it was really gorgeous.

  1. Okay, so I have a question Bob....when you say they are domesticated...do they then call them pigeons? Maybe they are a part of somebody's flock? They are so clean and beautiful .... and, yes..I've decided they are at least sweethearts...see the one winking at you? That says it all ... cheeky thing....oh, alright quite cheeky, but, very sweet too....

    1. A quote, 'According to the biblical story (Genesis 8:11), a dove was released by Noah after the flood in order to find land; it came back carrying an olive branch in its beak, telling Noah that, somewhere, there was land. Christians used Noah's dove as a peace symbol. The Holy Spirit' if you believe that, then I am lying to you.

  2. Bob, great shots but it is only a white pigeon. They don't need to get married. They spend their lives crapping and bonking.
