They really are sweet birds ...ordinary, perhaps, but special when you take time to really look ! Your photos give us the chance to do that! Thank you.
Your sparrow looks like a Duke – dignified! I feed mine throughout mid-season and winter and they sometimes look into my windows, when I am too busy to do that. Take care, Bob, you’re a great master of photography.
I have very much enjoyed your House Sparrow images, Bob. Once upon a time they were 'just a very ordinary brown bird' to most people, but now they are in trouble and we must cherish them or else we will lose this iconic part of life in an English garden. I think it's time I made some nest boxes for them! My very best wishes - - - Richard
Una buena serie sobre el gorrión con un juego perfecto de enfoque/desenfoque. Cada vez se ven menos gorriones, un pájaro que antes era muy abundante en pueblos y ciudades. Un abrazo,
Very nice photos of this beautiful sparrow. Have a nice evening. Greetings Caroline

DeleteI do love sparrows. They have a subtle beauty all of their own and I like their cheery song too. Thanks Bob.
ReplyDeleteThey have a cheepy song, thanks EC.
DeleteBob - we might dismiss the sparrow due to its "common" appearance, but it is still a gorgeous bird.

ReplyDeleteSo many people were blasé about this species until it spiralled into decline.
