    Such a dark bird, they are wonderful to watch when in flight but so difficult to approach so as to get a decent image.
    Super set of images, the taking off image is tops.

      The last one is taken at low speed, that is why it looks a little blurred, never mind.

  14. They look so stuffy and proper I think. I like that capture of the wings just before lift off. One of our hawks swooped down and got a very small snake one winter. It was about 10 inches long and amazed me that it was not dormant but under the leaves and he saw or heard it and captured it.
