Willow or Marsh Tit? Which.

Which is it, because, I can't tell.
Photographed at Church Lane, Parkend, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, GB.

Sorry again, I was a long way off.

  1. Marsh Tit for me. Not so bull shape head and lack of paleness in the wings. Nice captures Bob.

  2. I am not familiar enough with either species to know, but I suspect thst vocalization would be the key to clinching the ID.

  13. Sorry, Bob, I don't have an opinion on whether it's Marsh or Willow. I tend to have the same problem with these two myself! Great birds to see and photograph, however. Well done! I hope that your cold is now better. Take good care in this chilly weather - - - Richard

  19. Hi Bob,
There is a small difference. Marsh or Willow Tit... And I think it is a Willow Tit..because of his head.
But actually the only way of telling these two birds apart is by listening to their calls and song.
    I like the photos!
    Regards, Maria
