      No, it is not, they were nearly extinction, and the Slimbridge WWT came in time to save them. Tabor, you can read all about them in 'Wikipedia'.

      That is why I asked. I lived in Hawaii for a short time and was well aware of their almost demise.

    I wonder whether this delightful little goose will ever successfully reestablish itself in the wild. There is a small population in Hawaii but without constant human protection it is doubtful if it is viable.

    oh! I have read about this Hawaiian goose and have heard it is endangered. I've never seen a picture of it even. thank you.
