Little Ringed Plover - Charadrius dubius

This is the first time I've seen one. I was shooting in the sun, sorry about that.

    Super set of images of this delightful Little Ringed Plover, we have a few at Rutland and Eyebrook at the moment but I have yet to see them.

  16. He is so sweet -- shore birds are so very hard to identify (for me at least) but I can see why this one is called a 'ringed' plover -- even I would recognize that feature.
