Can you tell me where it was ringed?

Please look at my website bobswildlife.co.uk. There is a photo of an Arctic Tern,  and  the Pied Wagtail by Callum in the 'Guest Photos

  1. Hi Bob, I have not the slightest idea but if you send the images to the B T O they will be able to tell you, I have done this with Barn Owls, apart from that excellent images of the rings, never managed to get close enough to be able to read them. All the best, Regards John

  2. I know it is done for good reasons, but I would rather see them without their manacles. Great photos though.

  7. Hi Bob. I can only tell you that it was ringed in UK. Metal rings in UK with 'Brit Museum on them are BTO rings - explanation here:- http://www.britishmuseum.org/about_this_site/contact/bird_ringing.aspx

Not a fan of ringing, myself.

    Best wishes - - - Richard
