Crested Screamer (Chauna torquata)

And why are they called a Crested Screamer????????????????????????
I have been in to Slimbridge WWT this morning, and I took some photos of the birds, in captivity.

  6. I can see why it is captive it has a collar.
    I hate the idea of Slimbridge but it it s fun. I enjoy feeding gulls and Starlings.

    A beautiful capture by you and Slumbridge.

    1. Slumbridge does a lot, studies the birds, the animals, and all. They do have about 15 hides, that is enough for me.

    Very good shots of this beautiful bird.
    I saw him many times here in the Zoo of Rotterdam. We called him in Dutch "Kuifhoenderkoet".

  30. Bien sûr, je préfère les oiseaux en liberté. Malgré tout, certains donne l'impression de ne pas trop souffrir enfermés. Je pense, néanmoins qu'ils rêvent de la nature.
    Pour revenir à cet oiseau captif, il est malgré tout très beau avec ce camaïeu de gris dans ses plumes. Je note au passage la puissance de ses pattes. Merci pour toutes ces très belles photos, Bob.
    Actuellement sur mon blog, une dédicace pour toi en toute amitié.
