I have been in to Slimbridge WWT this morning, and I took some photos of the birds, in captivity.

ReplyDeleteLieber Bob,
ReplyDeletevon Schlangenstörchen habe ich bislang nichts gehört.
Ein seltener Vogel - aber wunderschön.
Danke fürs Zeigen.
Einen schönen Wochenteiler wünscht
Irmi
amazing looking bird - I looked it up to hear it on YouTube; did you hear it while you were there Bob.
ReplyDeleteNo, but, I heard it a long time ago, it was awesome though.
DeleteA special bird, but incredibly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteKarin
really cool bird
ReplyDeleteI can see why it is captive it has a collar.
ReplyDeleteI hate the idea of Slimbridge but it it s fun. I enjoy feeding gulls and Starlings.
A beautiful capture by you and Slumbridge.
Slumbridge does a lot, studies the birds, the animals, and all. They do have about 15 hides, that is enough for me.
DeleteHi Bob A very interesting bird adn it loks like a helmet it has on rather than a crest. great shots of it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of this beautiful species.
ReplyDeleteVery well photographed, Bob.
Cheers Irma, and thanks on my photos.
DeleteA very odd looking bird, looks to be built by a committee without a fixed agenda, ha, ha. Great pictures Bob!
ReplyDeleteHm, I would not say that this is the most beautiful bird, but it is pretty enough! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour photos are very good Bob!
Yes, I'm afraid that is part of life, listen to it: http://youtu.be/SeaByXgH7nU

ReplyDeleteHello Bob,

I saw him many times here in the Zoo of Rotterdam. We called him in Dutch "Kuifhoenderkoet".
Best regards,

Hello Bob! Hope all is well in your corner of the world. This is an unusual, gorgeous bird. I love its grey colour and intricate feather patterns.

Roger
