Crested Screamer (Chauna torquata)

And why are they called a Crested Screamer????????????????????????
I have been in to Slimbridge WWT this morning, and I took some photos of the birds, in captivity.

von Schlangenstörchen habe ich bislang nichts gehört.
Ein seltener Vogel - aber wunderschön.
    Danke fürs Zeigen.
    Einen schönen Wochenteiler wünscht

    1. Slumbridge does a lot, studies the birds, the animals, and all. They do have about 15 hides, that is enough for me.

  22. Hello Bob,
Very good shots of this beautiful bird.
I saw him many times here in the Zoo of Rotterdam. We called him in Dutch "Kuifhoenderkoet".

    Best regards,
