It's a bird Bob. I spotted the feathers.
Are you sure????????
Yes. It is a light brown coloured one.I'm positive.
In the face it looks more like a Kite than an Eagle.
Yes, but, what type of Kite is it Keith.
Merci bob il est tellement beaubise

No, I suppose that you are right Danielle.
I think it is Fred. And, regardless of what you call him, an absolute beauty.
Fred the Eagle/Kite, cheers EC.
Hi Bob! We think, that it is Hieraaetus pennatus. Beautiful photos... Greetings
Yes, it could be a Booted Eagle, really really great, thanks for helping me out.
ha ha ... chuckling at Adrian's identification :D)Love the eye closeup too.
Yes, Adrian is a card, lol.
looks like an eagle to me
I'm going to leave it to the experts; the raptor family from your side may differ from over here and those I find hard to get right ....super photos though (as always :)). Great to see.
You're so right, the experts will know, thanks Carole.
Nice. You really got up close and personal with the eagle.
Wow - fabulous shots.
Yes it looks like a booted eagle when I am checking in my "Delachaux" book of birds... Aquila pennata.
Bird looks very beautiful. The yellow color neat the beak is nice to see and it has sharp beak. It looks like eagle!
I am not an expert dear Bob, i don't know, the only thing I know is that it looks superb !amazing ! saluti
Sure one I have not seen yet, so I will not answer this quiz!!A great idea Bob that got many to try to guess!Antonio is very clued up about birds but without seeing the entire body difficult to be 100% sure... But that is what a quiz is about, HAHA!!!As Adrian says, one thing is certain it is bird of prey!! LOL!Keep well my friend!
Did you take the photo in the wild or in a zoo?Dzial could be right - I've taken eagle portraits as well in the past from eagles which are much smaller and daintier than the mighty fish eagle or other bigger species.Have a great weekend and keep on taking great photographs!Uwe.
I took that while I was visiting the the Birds of Prey centre, in the Forest of Dean.
Awesome shots, Bob! Since I have not seen the Kite, I can not help with the id..Enjoy your weekend!
wowVery beautiful!!Soo close:))))Tell me what lense you use that this eagle comes out soo great:)))))You are amaster of birds photographs Bob!
At that time I used a Canon EF 300mm, cheers Anita.
La imagen expresa el poderío que desprende la rapaz. Magnifica.Un saludo
Thanks Marco for your comments.
Que buena la definición de estas dos ultimas entradas, muy bien retratada la belleza de estas aves.Saludos.
Hey Bob, I agree with Antonio, I think it is a Booted eagle, ( Aquila pennata ) a light morph. Hugs, very good portraits.
Waouh ! Magnifiques portraits... :-)
Adrian is the closest...though he forgot to mention that the beak is very bird like.
You and Adrian ought to get on fine, cheers Dave.
Tremendous close-ups, Bob!!!Have a nice weekend,JR
