Raven [Corvus corax]

The raven is a big black bird, a member of the crow family. It is massive - the biggest member of the crow family. It is all black with a large bill, and long wings. In flight, it shows a diamond-shaped tail.

Ravens breed mainly in the west and north although they are currently expanding their range eastwards. Most birds are residents, though some birds - especially non-breeders and young birds - wander from their breeding areas but do not travel far. (RSPB)

  8. We have these beauties around here also. I was stunned at how much larger they are than crows. And my son, who has seen our local ravens, says they much larger still where he is out in western Canada. They're awesome birds.

Oh, and Bob, I don't know if you want help to get rid of the red area under your text. Maybe you already know this, but it pops up when you write text in the "space of the picture". Cut the text and paste it without format outside the picture area and you are done. If you already know this, please, consider this as not written.
