Grey Heron [Ardea cinerea]

Where to see them

Around any kind of water – garden ponds, lakes, rivers and even on estuaries. Sometimes, grey herons circle high up into the sky and can be mistaken for large birds of prey.

    It is high in relation to other birds floating on the water and it looks lovely. Yours.

  18. He looks pretty much like our Great Blue heron. I wonder if they are different or we just name them differently. In any event, great pics of this majestic bird.
