Eider Duck (in moulting) {Somateria mollissima}

It's hot, too hot for him. I never say 'it is too hot', in this country you should never use that word, lol.

  13. Hi Bob These birds look so different when in eclipse but as usual you have managed to bring out their beauty. I have been away at my old caravan so out of internet access but I have looked atall your posts I have missed nnow. Loved the Spoonbills and baby moorhen chicks. Margaret

  17. Great close up images as always. Can't help feeling sorry for him, as it's been over 40degrees in the shade here so I know how he feels:=)I'll bet the water is even warm!

  23. We have eiders that breed off of our waters here. There funny shaped heads and beak
    make for easy identification when they are off in the distance. Great shots.
