Curlew (Numenius arquata)

The curlew is the largest European wading bird, instantly recognisable on winter estuaries or summer moors by its long, downcurved bill, brown upperparts, long legs and evocative call. (RSPB)

  15. The curlew was a life bird for me this past winter in S. TX!! Great shots, Bob. The one I saw was too far away for my little camera to do it any justice. My pic was just for my records. Have a great day!
