Female Wild Boar (Sus scrofa)

This a nice surprise today. The first one was taken with 500mm lens, which was too big, so I changed my camera to 5D with wide angle, not as good as 500mm, but it was able to get her in the full. Enjoy them.

  6. Great Pictures. We have very much of them in South of Sweden. But we have to shoot them so it will be a normal amount of them.
They destroy fiels with crop and now they go into the cities and damage the gardens.

    1. I don't think that killing them is the right thing, a better way is to stop them having sex, about 50% of all males.

  7. Great to see Bob. But they shouldn't be encouraged to mix with humans. It is fatal for the little mites.
They ought to run at the first sound or smell of us otherwise she will be pork chops.

  12. Nice to see them running wild Bob. I know they do cause some damage, but that's the nature of the beast! Birth control is the only answer!...[;o)

  13. Extraordinarily marvelous! You must have been excited!
Once while on ha hike very early in the morning, my husband and I were at a vista point in the Golan Heights, overlooking a waterfall. Suddenly on the opposite hillside appeared a whole family of wild boars - my heart truly missed some beats! :-)

  15. Great shots Bob! It's not often one gets the chance to photograph wild boar. If disturbed I think they would run, rather than charge. Cute vido clip!:=)
