Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum)

It was a stormy day in the United Wetdom. It has been so water-laden that we will become a place where were mermaids and merman, how joyful that will be. Here are the pictures of a few days ago, when there was sunlight.

 And now there was the female

    powerful, handsome, bearded man with the tail of a fish - Wikipedia) :-) - those are superb photographs of a marvelous little fragile, delicate, translucent, thing - colorful the Mister and modest the Lady! Awesome!

  11. Thanks for this Bob. I'm suffering from a lack of Dragonflies. Suzane Vega? The songs are great but she is a bit breathy for my taste.
    Do you recall Heat...were they the Wilson sisters?

    We get an awful amount of rain, too, Bob. If the channel gets any bigger, maybe I'll grow fins :-)

    This Common Darter is uncommonly beautifully photographed!
