The Owl Butterfly (caligo memnon)

This was not in the country the Forest of Dean, and it was hotter than you can manage, unlike the weather we've had. Oh, I won't be on line tomorrow, because I am getting a new computer.

  9. Great picture Bob, this little fellow is looking a bit battered isn't he. I've been in one of these butterfly "houses" and it sure was hot and humid inside.

You asked in my blog at the heron, which I do with my photos. I usually use a Canon 40D and a 300 mm F4 + a 1.4 extender then you have total 420mm.
