I have a longing to live near one, Meerkats. Unfortunately, that I'm stuck in good old England. The only place is a zoo, horrible though. Ah well. Here are some from a zoo. Oh, it was raining.
What a surprise, Bob. Rain! Don't lose your hope, I am absolutely sure that there must come a period with sun. That's nature's rule! Maybe in September, but it will come! I love those meercats. They are so beautifully photographed by you. The third picture is my favorite with those little lights in his eyes. Wow! Greetings, Joke
Bob, great portraits! We've had a week of clear sunny weather now. Had a whacking thunderstorm last night but it's sunny again today! Summer at last it seems! Hope yours improves soon
No way??!!! Raining again?:) Will England sink with all the water in the ground? I think maybe a trip to a sunnier area might be the answer....maybe the Meerkat has some relatives that can help you find a place?:) Hang in there.
I think the more reputable zoos can do a lot of good for animals and for we humans who would never otherwise get to see some of these wonderful creatures. It's the zoos that don't put the animal's welfare before all else that get under my skin.
cute little critter. hope they're well taken care of, there.

They are nice animals, and yes, sometimes you have to go to the zoo to those already seen. Great shots and the rain is too little to see.
