Gadwall (Slimbidge WWT in a hide)

And this is inside a hide, a view of wildlife. I love being there. Although, it is hard for me to get around, most are not wheelchair, or tramper friendly. And when you've made a sighting place, it is too hard to get your camera in a such small hole. It was made, many years, for people to watch birds. But, I love it, and it doesn't cost much.

 Female Gadwall
 Both sexes together.

  1. A hide is definitively a way to go!
Alone is best but I often we are 2 inside and chatting is no good to get birds close! LOL!
Great pictures of a duck I have not seen here!
    Cheers, Bob!

  11. Bob, super shots! Great plumage of the Gadwall. Some ask about the camera and lens you use. Surely it is skill and patience too! You have our admiration, over and over again. Thanks! :)

  19. Love the detail on the feathers here. I imagine myself in your wheelchair and while on my birding treks, I think of how it would be challenging to get into some areas. I have a friend with a wheelchair who has difficulty at times, but gravel paths work for us at times depending on how smooth it all is. It's nice to know you have areas that you can get into for those fabulous shots. We have a similiar place that is perfect for birding and it's accessible for all. If you ever come to Tucson, we'll have to go on some birding adventures:)
