Wood or Carolina Ducks (Slimbridge WWT)

This is for all my friends in north America. n.b. it was dark dingy day here again.

 Female, just preening under a reed.

  11. Bob, these ducks are beautiful. Last fall I was able to participate in a banding session for Wood Ducks, and got an up close appreciation of their gorgeous plumage. Thank you for sharing!

  19. I love the wood ducks. We used to have one come around our pond every now and then. He paired up with a mallard. Beautiful shots, Bob.
