Black-tailed Godwit (Slimbridge WWT, on the South Lake)
Another first for myself. It is a funny, but it comes like that, one day there is no animals/birds and a next time, there are totally new birds on my site next couple. Strange........
Hi Bob, Lovely photo`s as usual. Forgive me if I speak out of turn, but I am pretty sure it is a Black-tailed Godwit, not a Barwit. The bill is very straight, whereas a Barwit has a slightly upcurved bill and the legs on your bird show a lot of length above the bend, again the Barwit has a lot shorter legs. Again, I hope I haven`t spoken out of turn. They really are great photos! ;) J Follow me at HEDGELAND TALES
