7-spot Ladybird larva. (Lydney, the Marshes)

I have to tell you, that the Mallard Duck has disappeared, the RSPCA turned up and I talked to her. She would wait for me to phone her. At least she was on it. I shall be there every day until we find it.
The Ladybird larva was my first, so good to find it. Sorry, I could not find my macro.

  8. Great captures again Bob! I saw the larva of a Harlequin Ladybird the other day and had no idea what it was until I saw it on another blog. Ladybird larva is very odd looking!

Do you think there is any way the Mallard could have freed herself at all? I wondered if perhaps the line got caught round some weed if maybe she could pull it free. On the other hand I was worried that if that happened she could get trapped underwater, I do hope not. I worry too much!!

  13. Geesh, I want that Mallard duck found, and so I can only imagine how you feel... I am also worried that it may have caught it on some reeds, or something. Hopefully the people who are looking, are looking everywhere for the poor thing. The Ladybird Larva are really cool images, who needs macro with great images like these~
