These are beautiful, Bob! I follow a blog in Nova Scotia that raises these cattle. They are the COOLEST! And their calves are nothing short of adorable. :)
Definitely the strangest looking cattle I've ever seen! Sort of reminds me of the first time Sam and I came across a llama when we were out shooting. Sam had that look on his face that said "What kind of dog are you?"
They are beautiful Bob! I love how you captured the cinnamon color in their fur and the close up of the nose , face.....Great compositions! The only time I have seen something close to this cattle, was at a Maine fair..It was the Texas Longhorn...All very impressive animals...Happy you had a wonderful vacation!! Linda

ReplyDeleteI love these cattle. Beautiful creatures. I often wonder if they are all as docile as the ones I've met. Love that second last shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the most gentle of cattle.
ReplyDeletesuper!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beasts of burden. There is a pet farm on the other side of our county, and they have one of these. Great images!

ReplyDeleteHello Bob, I have seen live this kind of cow when I visited Glamis Castle and I was fascinated !!!!
ReplyDeleteThey really are very impressive Bob. They look quite fierce but I see that Adrian says they are gentle giants.

Great shots, love the detail photos.
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't know they were so good-natured, you'd be tempted to turn and flee...nice to know life of such ancient origins and mien still thrives.
